Biografía

Ph.D in Economic and Social Sciences, University of Geneva, Suiza, 2006.

Babonneau cuenta con mas de 12 años de experiencia en investigación y consultoría de alto nivel. Sus principales áreas de interés son la optimización bajo incertidumbre, la optimización de gran tamaño, la teoría de juegos y el modelamiento en energía y economía. Babonneau ha publicado en revistas de prestigio como Mathematical Programming, Operations Research, EJOR, Applied Energy, Climatic Change, entre otras.

Ha sido investigador principal en varios proyectos colaborativos internacionales (Unión Europea, Suiza, Francia, Qatar, etc.) sobre la transición energética, las negociaciones climáticas internacionales, las ciudades inteligentes (smart-grid). Ha contribuido al desarrollo de la herramienta ETEM para modelamiento energético prospectivo que sirve en la definición de políticas energéticas regionales de desarrollo sostenible. Babonneau es también Vicepresidente de la consultora Suiza ORDECSYS y CEO de la asesoria OR Decision Chile que prestan servicios científicos en Optimización y energía.
